Cocktail Party Redux

It’s time to rethink the cocktail party and turn small talk over food and drink into big ideas ABOUT food and drink.
Ingenuity and Light Bistro in Ohio City are delving into the secret science of Food, Drink, and Fun at Cocktail Party Redux. This one night only event explores the molecules that make mouths water, hearts flutter and ideas flow.
Thursday, March 31 starting at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $40 which includes food, drink, entertainment, and valet parking. All proceeds support IngenuityFest 2011. For tickets, please call (216) 589-9444 or order online on this site.
Ingenuity’s Cocktail Party Redux will feature four stations exploring the science and history behind beer, wine, and cocktails and their innovative pairing with food. Light Bistro’s Executive Chef / Owner Matthew Mathlage has created a tantalizing tasting menu including Bar Snacks 2011 Style, A Molecular Look at Cali Cuisine, France and Italy Deconstructed, and Ballgame Chic.
These foods will be paired with wines, beers and cocktails by experts and innovators including Aaron Diebol from 55 Degrees who will present a selection of New World Wines as well as Tracey English from Private Reserve who will cover classic Old World Wines. Meanwhile, representatives from Thirsty Dog Brewery will explore the mingling of beer and food. And local mixologist James Deluca will serve up cocktails selected specifically for the evening.
Cocktail Party Redux also will feature musical entertainment and a chance to discuss the 2011 IngenuityFest with the planners and board members behind the event. Space for this one-night-only event is limited so call to reserve your tickets today.
